At a County Commissioners’ Board meeting on January 4th, Commissioner Molly Henderson made a motion to approve a letter written by county special counsel, Howard Kelin, to be sent to the City Council, the Lancaster Convention Center Authority (LCCCA), and to Penn Square Partners requesting they join with the County to commission a “complete, comprehensive feasibility study.” The letter also will also call for the suspension of the sale of the Watt & Shand building, demolition permits, and the interest rate swap – the so-called ‘Swaption’ – until the study is complete and all costs are known. “It is imperative we have a complete and definitive study done before we move forward on the project,” Henderson said. Approval of the letter is scheduled to be voted on at the next board meeting on January 11th, 2006. | ||||
